Mother's Day Brunch

I can't believe Mother's Day is almost here, again! Here are some pictures of the Mother's Day brunch I hosted at my house last year. I hosted my parents and sisters as well as my in-laws. (Don't think my brother or sister-in-law were there) but I have a really bad memory. Of course I remembered to take pictures of the food, but I forgot to take pictures with my mom. Der! This year, though!

For the frames I printed the printables from Hostess with the Mostess. There was also a little pennant banner that I hung in the living room. I think they are so cute, and they matched perfectly!

For brunch we had a veggie tray, scotcharoos, perfect brownie bites
in the back you see our little fruit pizzas. I made them using sugar saucers, dairy delicious dip and cut up fruit. My sisters helped me assemble those before people started to arrive

Everything else was made ahead of time and all I had to do was set it out!

These are so adorable and so delicious!

My MIL brought her famous ham salad on croissants. That stuff is the best. I guess the secret is to make it with bologna instead of ham. Who knew?

I made mini bacon and broccoli quiche by putting them in a muffin pan. They were a hit!

And I also made banana scones.. I left the glaze on the stove so it would stay warm, but they were also delicious. I made the batter ahead of time and froze them. All I had to do was pop them in the oven in the morning!

All in all it was a great day with lots of food! I'm not sure what we are doing this year for Mother's Day. My sister is graduating from medical school the day before so it will probably be low key. What are your plans?

I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream 4 Ice Cream

Thanks to Renee for reminding me that I had not posted these pictures yet. Caroline's party this year was so much fun. The theme was 'I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream 4 Ice Cream.' She was turing 4 obviously. And this worked perfectly because Caroline loves ice cream. A lot.

Chris & Ariel's Cute as a Button Baby Shower {My Photography}

Last weekend I had the honor of helping with another Cute as a Button Baby Shower. Ariel is due in just a few short weeks with her first, a baby boy! I reused the Cute as a Button Shower stuff from Abbe’s shower this summer. The only person who was at both of those showers was me, so it worked well =)

Caroline's 1st Birthday- Winter Wonderland

Here's a little blast from the past. I have blogged about Caroline's 2nd and 3rd Birthday parties, and then thought maybe I should go ahead and write about this one too.

This was the first party that I ever really did. I wanted to do a Winter ONEderland theme from the time she was born in the middle of the winter. The pictures are pretty terrible despite my attempt to re-edit them. These were the pre-DSLR days. It is crazy to me how much Caroline has grown and at the same time how much she has stayed the same.

Caroline is 3!

Here are a couple of pictures from Caroline's 3rd birthday. It was about 6 weeks ago, so I'm doing better than last year in posting! This year the theme was "Caroline is turning 3, Come and celebrate with me!" Ok, not really a great theme, but basically I got to do whatever I wanted...and that was awesome.
We had the party at our house this year. In the past it has been at my MILs house. Since our house is much smaller we only had our immediate families in attendance.

Abbe's Baby Shower- Cute as a Button

Last week I showed you maternity picures for my friend Abbe. This week I am showing you the baby shower. Her baby girl was due at the end of August.
I was in charge of the decorations and table ware. Oh.. and the cupcakes of course!

We decided on a ‘Cute as a button’ theme. All the normal pastel baby colors.
I bought everything else at the dollar store. NO Judging! I can do a cute party from the dollar store. I’m sure I would make my grandparents proud! For the record.. I did not buy her gift at the dollar store ;) But I will be doing another post on that later.

Caroline is TWO Sweet

Well they say better late than never, so I hope you agree. Now that you are all in a sugar coma from Halloween, I know all you want to do is look at some more yummy goodness!!

Caroline's birthday party was in January, and I am just getting around to posting. Geez. It's basically time to start the planning for the next party. Can you believe she is going to be 3 in 2 months already! Dang!
And I thought I knew exactly what I was going to do for her party until I ended up pregnant with twins. Now I am thinking I will be too miserable to want to deal with it in January. Anyway, back to the party.

The theme was "Two Sweet" and we had it at my MIL's house.
It's the perfect theme since her name is Caroline and she is pretty darn sweet.
