Sugar Cookies {Foodie Friday}
Ok, the truth is…I made these for Valentine’s Day, but I seriously lack time management skills. It happens. These are my staple Valentine’s Day dessert. When I was in 2nd grade, I had a Valentine’s Day party and my mom and I made these cookies. I originally saw this idea in an American Girl book. I really like these cookies because you don’t have to have any cookie decorating ability (I don’t) to make these cookies look good.

Cinnamon Pecan Coffee Cake {Foodie Friday}
I love breakfast. Weekends are pretty much the only time that I have to actually make breakfast, so I try to plan ahead and get a jump on Saturday morning. This I had in the oven at the same time as dinner. Cinnamon and pecan--not sure if it really gets much better than that. I would like to see a cinnamon filling or something, but still delicious.

Chicken Pot Pie {Foodie Friday}
I got this recipe from my MIL. I make my own pie crust, but you can use the premade stuff from the grocery store if you must--but trust me, you should just make your own.

Banana Chocolate Chip Bundt {Foodie Friday}
The night I made this I was not on my A-game. It was Thursday night and I had had very little sleep since Monday. With a coughing hubby and a wakeful toddler it’s safe to say that I barely knew which way was up. I failed to set out the butter and eggs to get them to room temperature. I forgot to preheat the oven and grease and flour the pan. What a mess.

Ham and Swiss Quiche {Foodie Friday}
I have never had Quiche before. I know, I know. I had no idea what I was missing. I think most of the quiche recipes that I saw had weird and crazy things in them that I would never eat anyway. But this quiche was awesome. If they didn’t take so long to cook I would make them all the time for breakfast. We actually had this for dinner.

Snickerdoodle Pie
It's Pi Day! Today I celebrated by making a Snickerdoodle Pie. It tastes great for breakfast, because with all the cinnamon it's like coffee cake. My favorite part is the strip of cinnamon sugar on the pie crust. Plus, what is not to love about a pie that tastes like a cookie!

Darn Good Chocolate Cake {Foodie Friday}
When I first had this cake it was because a co-worker made it for a work party. She had slightly undercooked it so it had a gooey center that almost seemed like a filling and it was perfect. Unfortunately I cooked mine all the way so it did not have a gooey center, but it was still delicious. This is the first time I have used my bundt pan (Christmas gift!!) I insisted on the original bundt pan, because Cooking Illustrated says it is the best. The directions for this cake say to grease and flour the pan, but I feel like I would have had good results even if I had skipped that step.
